High Tech Tables?

I'm going to be really busy this weekend, so I'll get my blogging out of the way. The New Hamburg Relief Sale is tomorrow, and the rest of the weekend will be...Accounting. Ok, so what is this world coming to? High tech expanding tables? I kind of want one, as long as it's under... $3,000?

A lil' Botox

The site just got a face lift! Instead of plain colours...It's all shiny and curvy...Oooo...Ahhh... I hope you like it!

Stinky Situation in Space

It seems like that there's a pretty stinky situation in space. I bet next time they'll double check the toilet fan. Maybe the new one will be have some quality German engineering.

On a different note, I watched "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" yesterday and really enjoyed it. I loved the nostalgic look and the humour was great. One thing that was a little distracting was the constant and almost over use of computer graphics. Other than that, two thumbs up!

File Upload

The file upload project has been in the works for a while now, and I'm pleased to announce that at last - it is complete. Anyone is welcome to upload as much or as little as they'd like.

And the snozberries taste like snozberries!

Heat-Sensitive Wallpaper! If you are anything like me, you'll think it's pretty cool. In fact, heat-sensitive anything sounds cool. Imagine laminate that changes colour when you walk on it. "Honey, where are the kids? They were here a minute ago."

Also...I've been procrastinating in my accounting class and now I've got mounds of labs to finish up by Wednesday. Oh dear...

I almost forgot... Did you watch the memorial cup game yesterday? If you missed it, the Spokane Chiefs broke the the cup. It's alright - it was a replica anyway.

Catch up

Ooo man, I haven't had a chance to blog lately. I've been far too busy. So... now sounds like a good time to start again.

Ottawa:
Brief Description: Ottawa was awesome.
Full Description: I got to do lots of exploring, but it would have been more fun with another person or so. I took 160+ pictures while I was exploring parliament hill, which have ended up on facebook. It happen to be the tulip festival so there were lots of beautiful flowers. All in all, it was a good experience. I ended up getting sun burned, and buying a homeless man a coffee and a bus ticket. It doesn't get much better than that.

Miller Lake:
Again, like every other year - it was a blast! It was a productive weekend, and there were a few exciting moments. David ended up catching a baby bunny (aww) and we all left camp with a full stomach.

Google Calendar:
There is a new feature on google calendar that sends your cell phone a text message reminders for upcoming events. It's pretty sweet, and now I get a reminder when the guys are going out for wings or a birthday is coming up.

Tax Return:
Yay, my tax return came in the mail today! I don't plan on changing my spending habits, so my savings account should be going up a bit in the next few days.

I Will Go, Send Me

Today has been wonderful. I went to a Starfield concert - and it was soo good! The music was amazing and the message was superb. Not only that, but I sponsored a child from World Vision tonight. His name is Jerwin Manalac. He's a 6 year old boy from the Philippines.
Jerwin lives with his parents in a rural area. Both of his parents are employed but at a very low wage; it is hardly enough to provide for their family. Your sponsorship is an important and continuing part of the assistance given to help his family attain self-reliance for this is the development in which World Vision is involved.
I can't wait to write to him. He's in kindergarten and his favourite subject in school is "National Language." That's so impressive... maybe I can even teach him some English.

His birthday has passed (January 8th) but I'll be sending him a letter and something smll if I've got any good ideas. So please, help me brainstorm by leaving a comment.

This world is in need.

I generally don't take random trips, but I will next week. Aaron is going down to Ottawa to write a firefighters test/exam and he wanted some company. So I'll be going with him from the 12th to the 13th. Road trip here I come.

A Child Again

Yesterday was an epic adventure. It started off as a fishing trip, but then it began to rain. Instead of leaving, we built a big lean-to house beside the fire. I didn't do much building because someone had to watch the 5 unmanned fishing polls. I'm sure there will be pictures on Facebook soon.

Manheim Garage Sale

The Manheim garage sale is always a box of fun. This year I never found any items worth purchasing, but then again, I didn't have my heart set on finding anything particular. But I did walk away with some CDs. My brother's CDs that he didn't sell, namely Yellowcard. It was a rainy day, but wonderful none the less.
